It's About You...
Photography is about reflecting who you are, at your best. You want to share what's important to you with the whole world, and I can make that happen. The photos you'll treasure your whole life aren't the unnatural poses with faces pointed at the camera. When you look through your memories years later, what you want is something that will bring you right back to how you felt that day. Your fingers brushing across your new husband's face as you gaze up at him, the fire in your eyes the day before your big game, the look that charmed everyone, and the spark that just lights up the room. That's what you need to capture, and for that, you need a photographer that doesn't see you as just another shoot.
A Bit About Me
Hello! My name is Jade Hisey, I'm a professional photographer recently moved to Kansas City, Mo. I have studied art and photography for years. Ever since I was a child I've been fascinated by them. I started doing photography as just a hobby, but it just wasn't enough. After my first wedding, I was hooked. I'm very passionate about capturing people just the way they want to be remembered. There's nothing more satisfying then having my clients, tell me their friend's or families breath caught when they showed off the perfect photo.
Getting that perfect moment isn't as easy it looks though. There is far more to it than even taking a good picture. Light levels, angles, and a bunch of other things are the easy part of my job. I actually spend far more time on doing research for, and about you. I keep up with the latest trends in photography, psychology, pop culture, and even business. Did you know that the color blue has changed it's meaning multiple times over the last decade? Kudos to those of you that keep up with these trends. For those of you that don't, what does this all mean? Why do colors, the angles, and poses consume my time? It all goes into keeping your photographs looking their best well into your children's old age, while still looking fresh today. If you'd like to know more about how it all works, I would love to discuss it. Research is pretty fun, but a good discussion with friends is always far and away better.
Of course, that's only the work before the photo, that helps taking a good one. Often, we all take that perfect, once in a lifetime shot, but something is just slightly off. That's where I do an enormous amount of work. Almost any photo can be repaired. No blemish, stain, shiney bald held, or even a bus in the background should stop you getting just what you want. Digital editing is a wonderful thing. I subscribe to multiple sites, magazines, and other places to learn the latest techniques. Even the most simple photos can be heightened, and if I do a good job, you'll never know. There's also the fun effects everyone loves. Great black and white shots with striking colors, blurs that snap your focus just where it belongs, blending two photos together for just the right mix, it's the icing on your wedding cake that just adds that perfect touch to your session.
